A charter flight of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) carrying 144 Pakistanis from the United States reached Lahore.

A PIA charter plane departed from the US capital Washington reached Lahore Airport. The Civil Aviation Authority transferred the passengers to quarantine centers.

Among the passengers returning home from the United States include actress Meera, who traveled under the name of Syeda Artza Rabab.

The Civil Aviation Authority shifted 88 passengers to PC Hotel, 49 passengers to Ramada Hotel, four passengers to UET Kalashah Kaku Center, and one passenger to CMH for screening, after which all passengers will be able to go back to their homes after a few days stay.

Meanwhile, a third PIA charter flight will carry stranded Pakistanis from Newark, New Jersey for Lahore on Sunday. The government has asked PIA to operate more flights from the US for repatriation of Pakistani citizens.
