Foreign Office has said that 108,592 Pakistanis stranded due to coronavirus pandemic in various countries are still awaiting their repatriation.

During her weekly presser, FO Spokesperson Aisha Farooqui said that till now, 19,329 Pakistani nationals have been brought back from different countries around the globe. She further said that under the fourth phase of the government's repatriation programme, between May 1-5,  2,459 Pakistanis have been flown back to Pakistan.

According to the spokesperson, six special PIA flights have brought back 1,122 overseas Pakistanis from Dubai, 252 from Qatar, 111 from Bahrain, 252 from Sudan, 221 from Kenya, 273 from United Kingdom, 40 from Sri Lanka, 132 from South Korea. 56 Pakistanis have also been repatriated from five European countries including Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Hungary and Switzerland.

"193 Pakistanis have been repatriated from India through the Wagah border," Farooqui said.
