The total number of coronavirus cases in Punjab jumped from 8,133 to 8693 after the province reported 560 new cases on Wednesday.
According to Punjab's Primary and Secondary Healthcare Department, 12 new deaths have also been reported. Punjab has now recorded 156 fatalities.
The department further said 3,086 people have also recovered from the virus.
