Another doctor in Karachi has died due to the novel coronavirus, after he was unable to get treatment from several hospitals.
Dr Furqan-ul-Haq is the third doctor in the city to have lost to COVID-19. Dr Furqan had recently retired from the Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases. He tested positive for coronavirus last week and was self-isolating at home.
However, due to heart troubles, he was facing difficulty in breathing. When he was taken to different hospitals for treatment, he was turned away as the hospitals did not have any beds available, local media reported.
The doctor was then taken to his residence where he breathed his last.
