National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Chairman Lieutenant General Muhammad Afzal said on Monday that Pakistan is now capable of conducting 30,000 coronavirus tests per day.

Addressing a presser today, the chairman said that in the coming days the labs will be able to around 30,000 to 40,000 tests daily.

Earlier, Afzal received another cache of protective equipment from China. The goods included 15 x-ray machines, 119 ventilators, 200 thermal guns along with other material.

The chairman revealed that more equipment will also arrive from China.
