Violation of SOPs in every capital market

Violation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) framed to control spread of deadly coronavirus continued uncheck at every market of the capital city in spite of increase in cases of Covid-19 in the metropolis.

According to a notification issued by the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration on April 15, all the businesses exempted from the lockdown would strictly follow the SOPs.

Following the notification, various businesses including hardware, stationery and book shops, hairdressers, auto workshops, tyre puncture, spare parts shops, and tailor shops resumed their work but no one care about the SOPs.

The concerned department of the ICT administration is not bothered about taking action against the violators. The coronavirus cases increased from 194 to 204 on Thursday.

According to officials, Shah Allah Ditta was sealed after 14 people were tested positive for Covid-19 on Wednesday. The area has more than 100 suspected cases. Out of 204 corona patients, three had died, and 26 had so far recovered, an official said.
