Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has said that the province is preparing to conduct 10,000 tests for the novel coronavirus in a day.
Punjab has reported 2945 coronavirus cases and 28 deaths. On Wednesday, the chief minister said Punjab has carried out 43,000 coronavirus tests, local media reported. He further said field hospitals with 4,500 beds have also been set up.
Buzdar also revealed that eight new laboratories will soon be opened in the province.
Meanwhile, the province has eased lockdown restrictions.All markets, shopping malls, restaurants and offices will remain closed. Public transport will remain suspended.
