Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has called on overseas Pakistanis to help Pakistan battle coronavirus pandemic and donate to PM Relief Fund for COVID-19.

In an exclusive message on Monday, the PM said that the whole world is fighting against coronavirus and the world is in lockdown. However, he added, the lockdown has effected the most to Pakistan where poverty has increased more.

He further said that he needs his overseas Pakistanis and wants them to donate. He added the country does not have enough resources. The PM said the United States, which has a population of 300 million, has given a relief package of $2,200 billion to its people.

On the other hand, the premier continued, Pakistan, which has a population of 220 million, has only $8 billion to take action against the deadly coronavirus.

He concluded that with the help and cooperation of Pakistani youth, Corona Tiger Force and overseas Pakistanis, the country will succeed in the battle against coronavirus.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Federal minister for Industries Hammad Azhar have also urged the overseas Pakistanis to help Pakistan.
