The number of coronavirus positive cases in the country is nearly 5,000 mark. However, it is pertinent to note that the Prime Minister Imran Khan has said the biggest challenge for the government after the lockdown has been how to provide relief to the vulnerable. It is a matter of great satisfaction that disbursement of financial assistance of Rs 12,000 each to 12 million families has begun at 17,000 points across the country.

It is quite apparent that the government has been exclusively focusing on ways to protect the people from the coronavirus and efforts were being made to ensure provision of PPEs to those on the frontline.

Having said that, I need to make a point: people must take all the required precautionary steps to ward off the threat of coronavirus. This is the best course available for us to take because we don't have the required health facilities or resources to deal with the Covid-19 challenge on a bigger scale. Hence the need for containing the spread of coronavirus infections.
