MOSCOW: Russian finance ministry said on Friday it had converted $8.679 billion, 7.926 billion euros and 1.6 billion pounds from the National Sovereign Fund into 1.494 trillion roubles to buy a central bank's stake in Sberbank.

It also said the fund reached 12.855 trillion roubles as of April 1.
