The decision has been taken after the federal government decided to impose restrictions and continue lockdown across the country in wake of the coronavirus outbreak. The Sindh government will again review the situation on April 14 to devise future course of action.

On Thursday, a patient died of coronavirus in Karachi, Provincial Minister for Health and Population Welfare Azra Pechuho confirmed. The death toll in Sindh from the disease has reached 11 while in country to 32.

The minister said that the patient was 86 years old and a resident of Karachi. He had a history of hypertension and had tested positive yesterday.

Meanwhile,  20 new cases of coronavirus have been reported in Sindh.

The minister said about 12 cases have emerged in Karachi, while eight have been detected among pilgrims who arrived in Sukkur on March 31. Nine patients have recovered from the disease, she maintained.

The total number of patients in the province has reached 763.
