PM's Corona Relief Tigers Force: Registration formally opens

Registration of Prime Minister's Corona Relief Tigers Force on Prime Minister's Citizen Portal was formally opened for youth across the country on Wednesday.
In a tweet, Prime Minister Imran Khan urged the youth to join Corona Relief Tigers Force and support the government in its endeavours to fight coronavirus pandemic effectively.
A control room has been established at the Prime Minister's Office, while monitoring team has also been formed to keep check on the post-corona situation. The Corona Relief Tiger Force test run was completed in the Prime Minister's Office on Tuesday.
Assistant to Prime Minister on Youth Affairs Usman Dar, who has also registered himself with the Corona Relief Tigers Force, through a video message said 90,000 youth had joined the force so far.
Dar Wednesday after joining the "Corona Relief Tiger Force", announced, "I am very glad to be part of the Prime Minister's Corona Relief Tiger Force, for which I have signed up today."
He said registration process for the force had been initiated, and pointed out that the original form was available online at Pakistan Citizen's Portal (PCP).
He advised the citizens to apply for the force only at the PCP. After completion of the registration process, the data collection will be competed till April 10 in which details of the deserving families will be collected from across the country.
Prime Minister Imran Khan Tuesday deferred the formal launch of "Corona Relief Tiger Force" till Wednesday amid strong reservations expressed by opposition political parties.
No reason was given for deferment of the launch by the prime minister, as he was scheduled to formally launch the registration process of the volunteers on Tuesday at 9pm aimed at distribution of relief items among the deserving families.
Opposition political parties on Tuesday rejected Prime Minister Imran Khan's initiative - formation of "Corona Relief Tiger Force" - and instead proposed setting up of a "Parliamentary Monitoring Committee" to prevent the possible distribution of the funds on political grounds.
