The decision has been taken to limit large gatherings during Friday prayers.

As per details, the provincial government, in consultation with Ulema of different sects, decided to go for lockdown in a bid to limit people from gathering in mosques in large numbers.

All shops, business centres and shopping centres will also remain closed during the lockdown. The government has also decided to take strict action against those violating the law.

The 14-day lockdown imposed by the Sindh government will end tomorrow (April 2).

On March 22, 2020, the Sindh government has imposed a lockdown in the province in a desperate attempt to stem the rising number of coronavirus cases in the country.

During the lockdown, all markets, shopping malls, restaurants, public beaches, and other public spots remained closed. Public transport also remained shut, while all schools, colleges, and universities across the province had been closed till May 31.
