Death toll in Lahore reaches four, seven in Punjab

The death toll on account of novel coronavirus has reached to four in Lahore, seven in Punjab and 20 across the country, as a 41-year patient died here at Mayo Hospital on Monday.
The Chief Executive Officer of Mayo Hospital Lahore Prof Dr Asad Aslam confirmed the death. He stated that the victim was also patient of stroke and mental illness and was brought to hospital in critical condition.
In Lahore, there are 126 confirmed cases and are admitted in different hospitals.
The provincial health minister Dr Yasmin Rashed said the provincial government is going to permit corona patients to isolate in their homes. In this regard, a policy is being announced soon.
According to a message received here, four of a family in Faisalabad have been isolated in their house. They have been advised to stay home while a police official has also been deployed outside their residence.
The provincial minister for disaster management Mian Khalid Mehmood told media, here on Monday that the NDMA has provided personal protective kits, masks and other material to the PDMA which has been dispatched to quarters concerned.
On the other hand, opposition leader Mian Shahbaz Sharif has expressed concern over rise in corona cases and asked the government to take immediate steps to avoid untoward situation. He was of the view that the government should adopt clear strategy to check the spread of virus.
PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz in a tweet paid homage to doctors, nurses and paramedics for their services in the fight against Corona.
