A Sindh health official said that tests of 11 people came out positive in Karachi while seven cases were reported from Larkana. One case was confirmed from Hyderabad, he said.

He added all cases were related to local transmission of the disease. He stated that the new cases have been reported during the last 24 hours.

Of the total number of cases in Sindh, 21 people have so far recovered from the disease. Of them 13 belong to Karachi and one from Hyderabad.

Similarly, 11 confirmed cases of the virus have been reported in Punjab. The total number of patients in the province reaches 449.

Pakistan reported 1,235 confirmed coronavirus cases while nine people have died of the disease. At least 21 people have so far recovered from the deadly virus across the country. There are 449 cases in Sindh; 131 in Balochistan; 323 in Punjab; 121 in K-P; 85 in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while 25 in Islamabad.

In a bid to deal with the pandemic, strict measures have been taken by the provincial and federal governments. There has been a complete lockdown in Sindh for 14 days while a partial lockdown is in place across Punjab. All kinds of transport has been banned to avoid spread of the virus.
