The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed on Friday another case against former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi.

The bureau has named the former PM in a reference for allegedly appointing Sheikh Imranul Haq as the managing director of Pakistan State Oil (PSO). The accountability watchdog said the appointment was in sheer violation of rules and regulations.

NAB has also issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the Abbasi as well as former petroleum secretary Arshad Mirza, who is also named in the reference, local media reported. Notices have also been issued to Haq and and PSO's former deputy MD of finance Yaqoob Suttar.

The bureau has directed them to appear before an accountability court on April 10.

Abbasi who is also named in the liquefied natural gas (LNG), was arrested in the case last year. He is currently out on bail.
