The online meeting via Skype was called by National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser to discuss the situation regarding coronavirus outbreak and its fiscal impact on country’s economy.

In a video posted on the Shehbaz Sharif’s official Facebook page, the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly looked well involved in the meeting.

After making a few comments, Shehbaz asked the NA Speaker “I want to know, if the Prime Minister is attending the meeting or not.”

After he came to know about Imran Khan absence, Shahbaz Sharif said, “If this is the seriousness of the Prime Minister then we will not attend the meeting.”

“Our country is facing the threat of one of the biggest pandemic in history, and we are not here to discuss politics, but to make a strategy to tackle the challenge lies ahead,” said the PML-N leader. “We came here that how we can utilise our resources and help the nation.”

“We are sorry, we are walking out” he added.

It is worth to mention here that over 1000 people have been infected by the deadly virus in Pakistan.
