Pakistan condemned on Wednesday the terrorist attack on a Gurdwara in Kabul which took the lives of at least four and injured several.

In a press release issued today, the Foreign Office (FO) said that such attacks have no political, religious or moral justification and must be rejected outright. The press release condoled the death and prayed for swift recovery of the injured.

Pakistan also expressed solidarity with the people of Afghanistan. "Pakistan condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations. All places of worship are sacrosanct and their sanctity must be respected at all times," FO said.

On Wednesday morning, gunmen and suicide bombers attacked a religious gathering of Sikhs and took several of them hostage. About 150 people were inside the temple and a number of them have been rescued. According to Reuters, Afghan security forces have killed the attackers.
