The son of Major General Abeera Choudry and Brigadier (R) Irfan Shukr died on Tuesday after contracting coronavirus.
The 26-year-old Rehman Shukr was serving as Financial System Specialist in the International Monetary Fund. He tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to a hospital in Washington DC.
Major General Choudry of the Army Medical Corps (AMC) and senior gynecologist, was among 36 brigadiers who were promoted to major general earlier in March, The News reported.
While, Brigadier (R) Shukr heads the Department of Medical Education at the Foundation University, Islamabad.
