On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,345. The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.076 billion and the number of lots traded was 17,626.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 4.230 billion, followed by DJ PKR 1.028 billion, NSDQ 100 PKR 726.479 million, currencies through COTS PKR 506.417 million, crude oil PKR 503.544 million, copper PKR 365.147 million, silver PKR 363.278 million, SP500 PKR 193.635 million, platinum PKR 116.501 million, Brent crude oil PKR 23.186 million and natural gas PKR 18.303 million.
In agriculture commodities 2 lots of wheat amounting to PKR 8.621 million and 4 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.646 million were traded.
