President Arif Alvi and Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi have both tested negative for the coronavirus after their return from China on Wednesday.

Chinese authorities informed that the Pakistani delegation have all tested negative for the corona, local media reported. "According to the instructions of the Chinese government all the 18 members of the Pakistani official delegating, including crew members, who visited china from 16 to 17 March had received COVID-19 tests in both throat swab and blood test forms in China for two times and the results of all the tests of every member are negative," a statement by the Chinese Embassy said.

The Pakistani delegation visited China from March 16-17 to express solidarity towards China while it is resolutely engaged in efforts to contain and deal with the spread of coronavirus.

On his return,  FM Qureshi said that he has decided to isolate himself as a precaution for a few days due to the coronavirus. He said after five days another test will be conducted."But I have decided to self-isolate myself and will try to follow protocol," he said.
