Pakistan Armed Forces have operationalised and geared up all medical facilities to deal with the coronavirus.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that the military hospitals have been geared up as decided during the National Security Committee March 13.

The statement continued that testing labs have been established at major military hospitals across Pakistan. Central testing lab have also been established at Armed Forces institute of Pathology( AFIP), Rawalpindi.

COVID-19 help desk too have been established at each military hospital for fast track handling.

"Armed Forces of Pakistan are fully involved in assisting the government and provincial administrations to tackle the situation since the outbreak and duly vigilant of the developing situation post COVID-19," the ISPR said.

The statement added that Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has directed all commanders to take maximum necessary measures to assist civil administration for safety and well being of Pakistanis.
