Water inflow in all major rivers improve, stands at 157,781 cusecs

ISLAMABAD: Water inflow in all major rivers has considerably improved due to shooting up mercy level and on Friday it is recorded as 157,781 cusecs against the outflow of 157,445 cusecs.

Water inflow in Indus river at Tarbela has also increased to 55,700 cusecs against the outflow of 55,000 cusces while in Jhelum at Mangla it is recorded as 43,480 cusecs against 43,844 cusecs.

According to the data released by the Indus River System Authority (IRSA), the maximum water level in River Indus at Tarbela was its dead level of 1378 feet.

The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla was 1092.10 feet which was 52.10 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet.

The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 73,221, 73,035 and 37,225 cusecs respectively.

Similarly, from River Kabul a total of 30,600 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 28,001 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.
