Coronavirus outbreak: Passengers barred from entering Pakistan without submitting health forms

In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus COVID-19 in Pakistan, the Aviation Division has subjected the disembarkation of passengers of all international flights after the submission of the health declaration form.

The CAA said that all airlines have been instructed again to completely fill the health forms of passengers during the flights. “In case of an incomplete form, the relevant airline will be responsible for the delay of flight,” said CAA.

As per the instructions, the air traffic controller will contact the pilot before landing the aircraft, if the pilot fails to report on the completion of health forms, passengers will not be allowed to leave the aircraft.

Furthermore, Secretary Aviation Hassan Nasir Jamy directed CAA to ensure the safety of all personnel working at Airports, in view of the rise in the number of coronavirus cases in Pakistan.

Health officials of CAA have been directed to screen all personnel, irrespective of the agency. In addition, all the personnel exposed to the passengers must ensure wearing masks and gloves to rule out the possibility of contacting the virus.

It may be mentioned here that to date 20 cases of the mysterious coronavirus have been reported in Pakistan. Fortunately, no casualty has been reported so far in the country.
