Balloting for govt Hajj scheme to be held today

The balloting for the government Hajj scheme will be held today (Thursday), the Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sahibzada Noor-ul-Haq Qadri would conduct the balloting.

As per the ministry, all arrangements are completed for the balloting. This year, a total of 146,330 people have sent their Hajj pilgrimage requests under the government Hajj scheme, meanwhile, over 107,000 persons would be selected for this year’s pilgrimage under the scheme.

It may be mentioned here that the government Hajj package (per person) is Rs463,445 for the north region and Rs486,270 for the south region excluding Qurbani (sacrifice), and Rs 486,270 and Rs 478,520 for the north and south regions respectively, including Qurbani.

The spokesperson of the Minister of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony said that the petitioners would learn about the results of the balloting through SMS while the results of the balloting will be downloaded on the ministry website as well.

The balloting would take place at 4:00 pm.
