SSUET may have campus in Education City

President of Aligarh Muslim University Old Boys' Association (AMUOBA) and Chancellor of Sir Syed University of Engineering & Technology, Jawaid Anwar, has said that they are planning to establish a boarding university at 200 acres of land in the Education City. Architectural design is ready that includes academic block, hostel, mosque and gate. We are working on a 5-year strategic plan.

Speaking at annual general body meeting of AMUOBA, he said, "We are planning to introduce new technologies according to the contemporary demand. Centre of Excellence for Cyber Security has already been established which is a unique center of its own kind and it will connect students to the new technology."

He said that Sir Syed University has completed its 25 years. Chancellor Jawaid Anwar vowed to work continuously and sincerely for the promotion and success of the institutions that are linked with the name of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. General Secretary (Honorary) AMUOBA, Muhammad Arshad Khan, presented the annual report highlighting the successes made towards the achievement of its targets and called for waiving of complete fees for the children of SSUET employees from Grade 1 to Grade 3.

Similarly, 70 percent discount and 50 percent discount in fee would be offered to the employees from Grade 4 to 7 and Grade 8 and above respectively. General Secretary Arshad Khan said that Sir Syed University had been established in 1994 with 2 departments and 200 students. Now it had 13 departments and more than 5,000 students.
