Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervez Elahi said on Tuesday that the government should monitor implementation on the Supreme Court's decision regarding fees of private schools.
The Speaker was responding to PPP parliamentary leader Syed Hassan Murtaza's point of order on government's failure to implement the Supreme Court's decision on fees of private sector schools.
The Speaker asked Law Minister Raja Basharat to look after the implementation on Supreme Court's decision on private schools fee structure. He said that the government should also focus on constructing roads from farms to markets. Unfortunately, he said, during the tenure of PML (N) the government did not give importance to construction of missing connectivity links in small districts.
Earlier, while speaking on a point of order, Hassan Murtaza said the PTI government miserably failed to provide relief to masses during its 18-month tenure. He criticized the government for not presenting any road map. The people had lost their hopes as the PTI government has failed to deliver, he added.
He also said that the government had done nothing as far as construction of missing roads connectivity was concerned in district Chiniot. The resolution to bring women in mainstream including politics and social sector was unanimously passed in the House.
The resolution of MPA Sabeen Gul Khan regarding inclusion of provision of clean drinking water as a basic right in constitution was disposed of. The House unanimously passed the resolution recognizing services of Malik Atta Muhammad Khan in Tent Pegging both at national and international level.
