On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,006. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.916 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,220.

Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 3.598 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.957 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 1.205 billion, crude oil PKR 804.211 million, DJ PKR 545.018 million, silver PKR 307.369 million, platinum PKR 202.213 million, SP500 PKR 142.814 million, copper PKR 112.911 million, natural gas PKR 33.113 million and Brent crude oil PKR 7.286 million. In agriculture commodities one lot of wheat amounting to PKR 4.111 million and one lots of corn amounting to PKR 2.907 million was traded.
