Carjacking cases continue unabated in capital

Over seven cases of various kinds of thefts and three cases of auto theft were reported at various police stations of the federal capital during last week. According to data gathered by Business Recorder, various police stations registered seven cases of theft, three cases of car jacking and two cases of kidnappings during the last week.

The incidents were primarily reported within the limits of Aabpara, Nilor and Golra police stations. Auysa Haider informed Aabpara Police Station that accused Jan Lashari stole mobile phone, cash, and driving lincence from his pocket.

Another Mehfoz Ahmed lodged a complaint with Aabpara Police Station that unidentified persons broke the lock of his house and looted Rs 150,000. Auto thieves stole a car bearing registration number HV-573 belonging to Saqib Rehman of Rs 300,000, from the limits of Raman Police Station, lifted another bike bearing registration number RIV-253 of value Rs 80,000 from the limits of Khana Police Station.

Shafiqur Rehman informed Golra Police Station that unidentified persons broke locks of his house and looted gold ornament worth Rs 600,000. Similarly, during another incident four unidentified persons broke into the house of Zerghon Ayub and looted cash and gold ornaments worth Rs 280,000. Muhammad Yaseen lodged a complaint with Shalimar Police Station that the accused, Nasir Hussain and his accomplices stole his dog he bought for Rs 400,000. In another incident, Salahuddin lodged a complaint with Karachi Company Police Station that unidentified persons took two mobile phones from her at PIMS hospital.
