On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,019. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 8.952 billion and the number of lots traded was 13,368. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.699 billion, followed by NSDQ100 PKR 2.050 billion, crude oil PKR 1.065 billion, DJ PKR 885.458 million, silver PKR 869.311 million, currencies through COTS PKR 507.158 million, platinum PKR 203.018 million, palladium PKR 167.697 million, SP500 PKR 143.085 million, natural gas PKR 146.263 million, copper PKR 124.596 million and Brent crude oil PKR 90.343 million.

In agriculture commodities 19 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 22.683 million were traded.
