The Ministry of Science and Technology announced on Thursday that the moon of Ramadan will be sighted in Pakistan on the evening of April 24.

In a post on Twitter, the ministry said that following the sighting of the moon, Ramadan is expected to begin from April 25.

Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry took to his Twitter handle and said the Ruet-i-Hilal Committee has been giving wrong dates for the start of religious months. “The dates they gave for the start of Rajab and Ziquaad were inaccurate,” he said.
