On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,191. The traded value of metals, energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 12.867 billion and the number of lots traded was 16,380.

Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 6.903 billion, followed by NSDQ100 PKR 1.995 billion, silver PKR 1.222 billion, crude oil PKR 806.290 million, currencies through COTS PKR 772.851 million, DJ PKR 423.167 million, palladium PKR 312.881 million, copper PKR 121.379 million, platinum PKR 91.976 million, natural gas PKR 79.942 million, SP500 PKR 63.384 million, Japan Equities PKR 62.640 million and Brent crude oil PKR 11.358 million. In agriculture commodities 17 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 41.391 million, 6 lots of soybean amounting to PKR 40.888 million and one lot of wheat amounting to PKR 4.186 million was traded.
