The Government of Punjab has converted the former finance minister and Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) Ishaq Dar’s Lahore house into a Panahgah (shelter home).

According to the Social Welfare Department of Punjab, the shelter home will become functional from Satur­day.40 people will be given a place to stay in the house. Metalbunkbeds have already been set up, with separate rooms set up for women. Each room is air-conditioned.

Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Syed Ali Haider Zaidi welcomed the Punjab government’s decision and termed it the best news of the year.
