Dhok Hussain Gas Field: OGDCL all set to start commercial production

The Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) is set to start commercial production from Dhok Hussain Gas Field as issues related to production of the filed have resolved. After detailed discussion, the issue of Dhoke Hussain transmission line and Togh Well-I flow line has been resolved and soon OGDCL will start commercial production from the field.

OGDCL made a significant discovery of 12mmcfd of gas and 300bbls of Condensate from Dhok Hussain gas field in 2018 and due to stoppage of laying of pipeline by local members of parliament, work could not be completed. It was causing a huge financial loss to OGDCL and national exchequer as well.

A high level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner Kohat Division which was attended by Amjad Khan Afridi MPA, DIG Police Kohat, DPO Kohat, Deputy Commissioner Kohat, OGDCL Regional Coordinator Kohat and representatives of SNGPL transmission & distributions Kohat division.

The issue of provision of gas within five kilometer radius was brought under discussion and representatives apprised the committee that case of gasification within five KM radius of Dhok Hussain has already been approved by OGRA, whereas, initial survey of the gasification within five KM radius of Togh Well-1 has also been completed and case is under process for fulfillment of codal formalities.
