The Pink Ribbon and Defence Raya Golf & Country Club (DRGCC) organized Corporate Golf Retreat (a golf tournament) to mark World Cancer Day and to raise awareness about breast cancer. The charity event was aimed at bringing together the Corporate Leaders of Pakistan to experience golf, to have fun and yet donate towards the construction of Pakistan's first dedicated Breast Cancer Hospital.

This golf tournament is the part of Pink Ribbon's campaign on a healthy lifestyle which is the key to prevent breast cancer. Pink Ribbon is taking initiative to promote a healthy lifestyle through healthy activities/sports.

At the ceremony, CEO Pink Ribbon Omer Aftab paid his gratitude to the administration of DRGCC for their generous support for the cause of Pink Ribbon. He said the support from Defence Raya will undoubtedly help Pink Ribbon extend its message to the masses.

Secretary DRGCC Brig Waseem Azmat stated that breast cancer has become a major concern in Pakistan after the extensive and appropriate campaign by Pink Ribbon. Defence Raya endeavours to spread awareness of this epidemic disease amongst the female population through activities and social media and will also help Pink Ribbon to raise donations.

In the tournament Brig Naeem Sadiq, Salma Dalawaiz, Tahir Mahmood, Ali Zaman Malik, Fida H Raja, Col Adnan remained the net winner while Asif Mehdi, Ahmed Kiyani, Col Muhammad Shafi, Murad A. Khan, Shafiq Bahatti, Dr. Dildar H. Chaudhary awarded as the gross winner in different categories.
