Ghani terms TI report 'a proof of increasing corruption' in Pakistan

Sindh Minister for Information and Labour Saeed Ghani termed Transparency International's recent report a proof of increase in corruption in Pakistan this year.

Provincial Minister for Information and Labor said that according to the report this was the poorest performance of Pakistan in Transparency Index during the last 10 years. He said this in response to Transparency International's recently published report on Transparency Index on Thursday.

Saeed Ghani said that people were suffering immensely owing to the inflation and unemployment during the last one year. Provincial Information Minister said that Transparency International's report was a proof that the country had gone far behind in every respect in the past year.

He said that not only in terms of transparency, but also with regard to the rule of law, the country had gone downhill over the past year. Saeed Ghani said that attacks on the media and the judiciary also increased during the last one year. The provincial Minister for Information said the restrictions imposed on the media during the last year were never seen before. He said the PTI government had avenged the opposition in the name of accountability.

Saeed Ghani said that Transparency International's report exposed Imran Khan's tall claims of being transparent. Saeed Ghani said that PTI government had given nothing but inflation and unemployment to the people.
