Sindh body of APNS rejects federal govt's policy

The Sindh Committee of All Pakistan Newspaper Society (APNS) has condemned the imposition of federal government's advertisement 'cartelization' policy which has created new financial and survival challenge for the industry, particularly the Sindh-based newspapers. The participants of a meeting held under the chairmanship of Sindh Committee chairman Javed Mahar Shamsi yesterday urged prime minister Imran Khan to revisit the notification issued by PM's Secretariat and order its withdrawal so that promotion of an independent and vibrant media in the country could become possible. The meeting was also attended, among others, by APNS secretary general Sarmad Ali.-PR
