Advanced technical maritime patrol aircraft’s and latest set of automated drones have joined the Pakistan Navy, to boost the country maritime capabilities.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi, was the guest of honor in a ceremony for the induction of new aviation assets in the Pakistan Navy.

Government agencies and top officials of the Navy participated in the ceremony. Addressing the ceremony, the Chief of the Naval Staff said that assimilation of aircrafts equipped with modern equipment and weapons in the naval fleet would enhance the capabilities of Pakistan Navy and further expand the operations of its Special Forces.

The Naval chief said that in the tense situation after the Pulwama attack, Pakistan Naval Aviation made the country proud by locating Indian submarines. According to Pak Navy spokesman, the Naval Chief urged his men to take full advantage of these modern platforms and play a vital role in the naval defense of the country.

Further acquisition of automated drones is also part of Pak Navy's upcoming projects, he said.
