Drug case: Rana demands judicial inquiry through fact finding commission

Member of National Assembly (MNA) and former provincial law minister Rana Sanaullah Khan on Wednesday demanded a judicial inquiry through a fact finding commission into drug case against him.

Talking to the media on his visit to Lahore High Court Bar Association Rana Sana claimed that he had been falsely implicated in the case at the behest of the government.

Rana said the government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf had nothing to give the country except politics of victimization. He questioned the competency of Prime Minister Imran Khan as, what he believed, remained ignorant about his arrest. Rana said all including the allegedly recovered heroin and the witnesses belonged to the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF).

Rana claimed that director general of the ANF also knew that the drug case was a fabricated one. He also lashed out at state minister Sheharyar Afridi for making false claims of having video evidence of the alleged heroin recovery.

He said former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif will return to the country soon. He said the health of Nawaz Sharif was not well yet.

Rana Sana said the opposition had a consensus view about fair and free election be held in 2020. He said the 'selected' government had no ability to run the country. Commenting on conviction of Gen Pervez Musharraf(retd) in a high treason case, Rana said the verdict of the special court must be implemented.
