A mechanic, identified as Hafiz Mahmood, lost his life while and four others received injuries on Saturday when a blast took place inside an air-conditioners' shop. The blast took place in the city's Township area. The body and the injured persons were shifted to Jinnah Hospital by rescue officials.

The deceased mechanic died when he was reportedly installing a kit inside an air-conditioner.
