As many as 15 senior doctors and officials of different departments of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) were promoted from BPS-18 (basic pay scale) to BPS-19 after recommendations of Departmental Selection Board meeting on Monday.

According to a notification issued by Ministry of National Health Service, Regulations and Coordination (NHSR&C), on the recommendations of Departmental Selection Board, 15 senior doctors and official PIMS were promoted on regular basis against the posts as mentioned against each with immediate effect.

It says that Dr Qasim Mahmood Buttar, Assistant Professor BPS-18, has been promoted as Associate Professor Oncology (BPS-19), Dr Rubina Aman, Assistant Professor BPS-18, to Associate Professor Rheumatology BPS -19, Dr Mumtaz Ahmad Khan, Assistant Professor BPS-18 to Associate Professor General Surgery, Dr Sajjid Mumtaz, Assistant professor BPS-18 to Associate Professor Anaesthesia BPS-19, Dr Shaid Khan, Assistant Professor BPS-18 to Associate professor of Anaesthesia BPS-19 and Dr Shagufta Yasmeen, senior registrar BPS-18 to Associate professor of Gynaecology BPS-19.
