Government and its allies on same page: Elahi

Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Saturday said government and allied parties are on same page and he had already told that neither Prime Minister Imran Khan would resign nor the assemblies would be dissolved.

This was stated by Parvez Elahi during the negotiations with JUI-F it was never discussed that PM Imran Khan would resign. He said it was not guaranteed that after the talks opposition will start praising government.

The PML-Q leader further said we should learn to forgive people. He said we are putting our efforts under the leadership of Imran khan to steer the country out of crisis.

Commenting on the statement of JUI leader Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri, he said that the government and the ally parties are on one page and for pulling the country out of economic crisis and putting it on the path of progress are implementing unanimous strategy under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

"This is the holy month of Rabiul Awwal in which Benefactor of the Mankind Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) had come into the world, we should learn to forgive the creatures of God by practicing His Seerat, in it lies goodness of all," Ch Parvez Elahi further said.

Punjab Assembly Speaker said that during negotiations between the government and the opposition, the government was also not given any guarantee that after the dharna (sit-n) was called off all matters would get right and whole of opposition will start talking in favour of the government.
