On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,244. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 4.525 billion and the numbers of lots traded was 8,009.

Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 2.155 billion, followed by Crude Oil PKR 901.090 million, NSDQ100 PKR 320.790 million, Platinum PKR 287.533 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 260.273 million, Silver PKR 237.772 million, Natural Gas PKR 145.638 million, DJ PKR 108.759 million, SP500 PKR 46.074 million, Palladium PKR 26.373 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 19.795 million and Copper PKR 16.319 million. In agriculture commodities 11 lots of Cotton amounting to PKR 5.479 million were traded.
