Addressing a press conference, he said that flour prices also witnessed decline in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh following releases of wheat from the godowns of Pakistan Agriculture Storage & Services Corporation Limited (PASSCO).

The minister said that the government has allowed importers to procure tomatoes from Iran for a period of three to four weeks. The government did not set the exact quota or quantity of tomato to be imported from Iran, he said, adding that this year a bumper crop of tomato has been produced in Sindh province which will arrive in market in the first week of December. Import of tomato from Iran and arrival of new crop in market will decrease tomato prices in the country, he added.
