PBM offers 50 scholarships to SU students

Sindh University, Jamshoro continues its march of progress with an increased momentum; as yet another significant student-friendly development is brought to it by Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal. SU and Pakistan Bait-ul-Maal (PBM) sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under which the latter would be providing the former 50 scholarships to poor-yet-meritorious on-campus students worth 50 million rupees per year.

SU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Fateh Muhammad Burfat and PBM Managing Director, conferred by Government of Pakistan with the status of State Minister; Aon Abbas struck the deal formally as they signed the MoU here at the Vice Chancellor's office.

VC SU Dr Burfat, in his presidential remarks on the occasion, said, "The moment I assumed charge as SU Vice Chancellor in January 2017, I began deeply reflecting on giving students' Financial Aid Office (SFAO) a more productive role, an apt direction and enhanced dynamism. With this key objective in view, I appointed a young, highly qualified and extremely devoted PhD scholar and teacher Dr Fiza Qureshi as its head."
