Resolution in favour of PM approved by coalition partners

Parliamentarians belonging to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its coalition partners unanimously approved a resolution in favor of Prime Minister Imran Khan ahead of sessions of both Houses of the Parliament.

The meeting of PTI parliamentary committee and coalition parties chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan rejected the demand for his resignation and showed full support to the policies of present government, besides showing confidence in the Prime Minister's leadership.

Sources said that parliamentarians said that their tolerance should not be considered a weakness, adding no unconstitutional action would be accepted at any cost.

Addressing the meeting, Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the opposition wants to create anarchy in the country which is not acceptable. He said that neither his government is part of any deal whatsoever nor would there be any compromise on corruption cases. He said that his government has made it clear several times that no 'NRO' would be given to corrupt politicians.

He maintained that the opposition parties have no agenda. He said the government is demonstrating patience but would not let the country get off the track of development. The opposition's stance would be strongly contested in every field, he added. The Prime Minister also directed the ministers and members of Parliament to participate fully in the Senate and National Assembly meetings.
