  • Maryam sought immediate bail in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills after Nawaz Sharif's health deteriorated.
  • She was arrested in the case on August 8.

The Lahore High Court (LHC) will announce its verdict regarding a bail plea filed by Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-President Maryam Nawaz in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills (CSM) case tomorrow.

A two-member bench comprising Justice Ali Baqar Najafi and Justice Sardar Ahmad Naeem toom up the hearing today. During the hearing today, NAtional Acocuntaility Bureau (NAB) prosecutor Jahanzaib Bharwana presented his arguments before the court and said that the grounds on which Maryam has asked for bail does not hold any value, local media reported.

After hearing arguments from both sides, the LHC reserved its verdict and will announce it tomorrow. Following the deteriorating condition of Nawaz Sharif, the PML-N leader had sought for immediate bail on the basis of fundamental rights and humanitarian reasons.

On August 8, Maryam and her cousin Yousaf Abbas were arrested by NAB in the CSM case. Later, on September 26, they were sent to jail on judicial remand by an accountability court in Lahore.
