FS Links trapping people to invest in fake investment schemes: SECP

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has warned public from investing in “FS Links (SMC-Private) Limited”, after the financial regulator informed that the company is trapping people to invest in fake investment schemes.

“SECP warns public against investing in M/s FS Links (SMC-Private) Limited. The Company is trying to trap innocent people through social media to invest in fake investment schemes. The Company does not have any authorization/license to solicit investments or deposits from public,” stated the SECP.

The regulator informed that it has already initiated legal proceedings and winding-up proceedings against the company.

“SECP has initiated legal proceedings against the sole director of M/s. FS Links, Mr. Faisal Hayat, for unauthorized deposit taking and also opened winding-up proceedings against the company,” it reads.

The regulator urged the public not to get wooed by lucrative profits, and said that the warning was issued to safeguard the interests of all stakeholders, who are presently dealing with FS Links.
