China, Russia, 'others' pledge $72 bn to IMF crisis fund

WASHINGTON: Emerging giants China and Russia along with other unnamed countries are putting up $72 billion for the International Monetary's crisis intervention fund, the IMF said Friday.

The pledges took the total raised for the "global firewall" to more than $430 billion, IMF chief Christine Lagarde said.
