An accountability court in Lahore dismissed on Wednesday Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz (PML-N) vice-president Maryam Nawaz's request to meet her father former prime minister Nawaz Sharif in the hospital.

Maryam and her cousin Yousaf Abbas were brought to the court in the case pertaining to Chaudhry Sugar Mills. During the proceedings, the PML-N vice-president asked permission to be allowed to see her ailing father. However, her request was rejected.

Accountability court judge Chaudhry Ameer Mohammad Khan has also extended the judicial remand of Maryam and her cousin Abbas till October 25, local media reported.

Speaking to the media, Maryam said she asked the judge to give her an hour's time to see her father. However, she said the judge did not allow her to see her father.

 

 

On Monday night, the former PM was shifted to Services Hospital after his condition ‘deteriorated'. The bureau shifted Sharif to a hospital after his personal physician reported that his platelet count fell because of multiple pathologies.

However, the bureau issued a press release and said Nawaz's condition was under control and dengue test results have come negative.
